MODULE 5: Easy Reading Activities to Engage Students

After watching the video presentation "Easy Reading Activities to Engage Students," implement one of the suggested activities in your classroom. You can try any of the strategies mentioned, such as:
-- KWL
-- Give One, Get One
-- Mind Mapping
-- Pre-reading quiz
-- Graphic organizers
-- Flash cards
-- Close reading
-- Four Corners
-- Etc
Take pictures or videos of your students during the activity. Post your pictures/video here and write a short description of your students' performance.

Reading activities using graphic organizer and mind maps

Students shared ideas using KWL chart

They used crayons and handouts to complete the reading activity




All students liked this activity because they could think about the reading and summerized the most important aspects they considered as meaningful for them.  Also they share orally their opinions about the reading considered their personal experiences.
